Prenatal Care

Prenatal Care

Prenatal care is the healthcare a pregnant woman receives prior to childbirth.

This is an important time for your health care provider to get to know you. Prenatal care makes sure that you and your baby are as healthy as possible. These appointments can also help you feel more prepared for the birth of your baby.

Your prenatal visits check on your health and monitor your baby’s development. There are a number of prenatal exams and tests that may be recommended. Your provider may also talk with you about nutrition, exercise, and environmental factors that may impact your pregnancy.

Anchorage Women’s Clinic provides additional support services for patients during their pregnancy. Visit our Wellness page for more information about our in-house nutritionist and licensed counselor.
