Tina Tomsen
Dr. Tomsen returned to Anchorage after her advanced schooling at Rice University, the University of Oklahoma, Dartmouth and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where she completed her OB/GYN residency.

After practicing both obstetrics and gynecology for many years, Dr. Tomsen limited her practice to gynecology in 1992. Dr. Tomsen became one of the founding partners of AWC in 1995 and now focuses on Women’s health issues such as abnormal bleeding, fibroids and abnormal pap smears.

Dr. Tomsen serves as a Clinical Associate Professor for the University of Washington WWAMI program, is a Fellow of the American College of OB/GYN and is a member of the local Alaskan State Medical Association and the Pacific Coast OB/GYN Society. For six years she was also an elected representative from Alaska to District VIII of ACOG.

Dr. Tomsen is recognized as a robotics surgery specialist using the DaVinci Surgical System.

Dr. Tomsen and her husband have two children, and in her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, bicycling, cross-country skiing and quilting. She is an active member in the local arts community.
